Soopa Pets are helping out with the Dogs Trust Underdogs campaign. We have teamed up with Dogs Trust Ireland to help find homes for some of their longest-serving Furry Friends.

Porkie is this weeks Dog Of The Week. He a beautiful one-year-old male Pit Bull cross with a smashing personality. A gorgeous young dog who will make a fantastic addition to an experienced home.

Porkie was born in Dublin, in the care of Dogs Trust Ireland. He has been raised by his mum and the wonderful Dogs Trust carers alongside his brothers and sisters.

Porkie has always been boisterous and playful,  he can become overexcited easily and is still only learning about his strength. Because of this, it is very important that he finds the right home, as we all know he will grow into a large strong dog that will be full of life and energy.

Porkie is looking for an adult home full of dog lovers who are ready for his energy. his new family must be willing to continue the fantastic training given to Porkie by the Dogs Trust Carers.

This includes:

• Basic training
• Self-control training to help this boy with excitability
• Muzzle training (as he is a restricted breed).

Porkie loves the company of other dogs but would need a confident and playful (yet sensible!) dog to live with if his new family had another pet. Equally he would be happy in a home without other pets. His new family will need to have an active lifestyle and an interest in continuing his training.

Even though the Carers do love Porkie, they cannot wait to wave this sweet boy off to start his new life with a family of his own!
